BioSens8 Awarded $300K by MDIC AMCH!

BioSens8 has been awarded $300K in funding from the Medical Device Innovation Consortium (MDIC) to explore faster pathways for wearable technology to reach the market!

As part of the Advanced Manufacturing Clearing House (AMCH) program, led by MDIC and supported by a contract from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), BioSens8 joins an initiative dedicated to encouraging advanced technology adoption not just during device production but across the total product life cycle. The AMCH program aims to improve product quality, increase operational effectiveness, and enhance product intelligence through advanced manufacturing.

Through this initiative, BioSens8 will collaborate with MDIC to provide use-cases for deploying wearables more rapidly, utilizing innovative technologies like additive manufacturing and digital twinning. While focusing initially on women’s health, BioSens8 strives to make health ownership more accessible, addressing barriers related to cost, geography, and bias.

This initiative aligns perfectly with BioSens8’s technical and regulatory goals for its first product. A huge thank you to the talented BioSens8 team, MDIC, and especially to Steven Zera, MDIC’s AMCH senior program manager, who has been incredibly kind and helpful guiding us through this path. We look forward to contributing to this important initiative, which aims to bring similar products to market more efficiently!
